The History of World Smile Day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the age of social media, emojis are commonplace. However, the original smiley face icon was created by an artist named Harvey Ball. He created this iconic symbol with the goal of spreading joy, compassion, and kindness, creating a ripple-effect of positivity in the process. In the decades since, the image has been commercialized and used to the point where its original meaning has been lost. That\u2019s why World Smile Day is important. It spreads awareness about the origin and, in turn, what you can do to be a part of making the world a better place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How You Can Get Involved This Year<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sharing a smile goes a long way.
